Has anyone used one of those Length-Lock paddles?
Does the mechanism hold up? Does it stay put while you want and come
un-stuck when you want to change it?
Looks like a dandy gizmo (pricey though).

I've used 2 different epic wing paddles that had the length-lock.

The paddles I used were from this year so they didn't have much abuse. In
both cases the mechanism moved easily and stayed in place.

My wife needs a new paddle, she broke the shaft of her current one. The
break is where a hand goes so it's unlikely I could be repaired. It's
likely I'll get her (with me borrowing) an Epic with the length lock. I
thinks it's unlikely I'll be able to justify buying her a wing paddle....

Could someone kindly explain what a length-lock paddle is?

Thanks.

It's a gizmo built into a paddleshaft that allows you to adjust the
length and feather of the paddle.
