For you kayakers out there that are still trying to get more range from 
your HT's, here is an antenna that could be made to work on the marine 
freqs, and pack down to almost nothing.

Each year in CO several HAMS, that also climb mountains, go up on the 
14,000' peaks of CO and see where all they can talk. This is just one 
types of antennas that is taken.

One thing is for sure.., you will not need ANY kind of heart monitor to 
see if yours is pumping fast enough, if you try. <G>
