UNTIL NOW! I found a wheel is virtually identical to the ones used on top quality kayak carts. I got them mail order from: Northern Tool & Equipment 2800 Southcross Drive West Burnsville, MN 55337 (800) 221-0516 They are a bit smaller than wheelbarrow tires but will fit in the hatches of many kayaks. A length of 1/2 inch rigid copper water pipe (with a wooden dowel in the center for increased stiffness) worked fine as an axle, For the frame, I got creative with some schedule 40 PVC pipe. Product Description: 3.00 x 4 Low Speed Pneumatic Tire & Wheel For carts and other low speed applications. 100-lb. rated capacity. 10" outside dia., 13/16" bore. Weight 3 lbs. (They ARE on plastic hubs so you should probaly keep the tire pressure under 10 lbs.) Item #2252-NET $8.99 (plus shipping charges) http://www.northern-online.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=188 46&prmenbr=6970&CGRY_NUM= Dave Martin Noyo Pacific Outfitters < www.noyopacific.com > Canoe & Kayak Rentals & Sales Noyo Harbor Fort Bragg, CA (707) 961-0559 *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************

Just the correct category to look under would help.
