I paddle a Silhouette as my main boat these days and am more happy with it every day ( as I learn its tricks I reckon). It is very well built in a British heavy fashion, relatively fast, has moderate initial stability and handles very nicely in rough water. Mine has a skeg but it's rarely necessary to use it. It has sufficient storage for multi day trips. My only dissatisfaction with it is that it is not as maneuverable as I'd like even when tilted way over. But as I suggested, it's learning. ;-) The Legend has a higher foredeck and a little more volume. It is very nearly as fast and significantly more maneuverable. I believe I'd definitely want a skeg with this boat.
