He's 71 and paddles a lot. He paddles out to Matinicus(~22 miles of open ocean)each summer as well as several other substantial trips. On July 4th he came in third in a local around an island race of about five miles. I'm convinced that had the race been two laps he would have smoked the local testosterone-poisened youth. I used to think that I'd be lucky to be able to sit up and take solid food as I got older but I'm changing my future expectations.
