I must agree.  You are exhibiting perfectly normal behavior.
You are seeking true enlightenment, to be found at sea-level
not mountaintop.  The attraction to the kayak demonstrates
that your life-focus is reaching a superior level.  Far beyond
the mundane level of the supermarket shopping list.

This is a good thing.  I concur with the earlier comment that
your wife knows.  I'll add that she approves as well.  The true
life-partner will encourage your focus and not hesitate to assist
your acquisition of more vessels and attendant accessories.

PS: if all else fails, try being really grouchy when you don't go out
and really nice after you have.  Works for me.
