That's how I looked at them. Most listservs and news groups do not allow picture files because of their size. Also, not all host computers for these groups have sufficient storage space to keep them. There are a few news groups which will have "binaries" in their names, and those are specifically intended for photos. Alt.binaries.pictures.animals is one such group. There are also some "Photo Album" websites that you can use to put your pictures up. Then all you need to do is give the URL or Email for them in your message.
