[Paddlewise] Who's who - VHF radio licenses in Australia

G'Day,

Thanks for the Who's who entry Ralph. We don't need a license for 27MHz VHF 
usage in Australia and 27MHZ is both cheap and popular but the license, 
including both name and callsign, is required for the Maritime VHF 
trancievers. Even handhelds require to study for an exam and license.

Naturally I'm studying for the exam just so I have an official reason to 
give my kayak a name :!)
