    I'm happy to hear that all were safe, but the incident immediately
brought to mind "Mr. Hulot's Holiday", a Jaques Tati film of the fifties.
In one scene he is trying to impress a young woman with his skills when
suddenly both ends of the kayak rise up like jaws, closing around him and he
sinks slowly out of sight.......
