I've just joined PaddleWise because an acquaintance recommended the list as a forum where discussion of sailing rigs for kayaks had been a recent subject. Yep, that's for me. I am looking to buy a new kayak specifically for sailing. At this point, I plan a Necky Dolphin to mount an EasyRider 24 ft. full batten sail and lee boards. However, this will take some engineering, since nothing sticks to the Necky rotomolded plastic, the fellows say. If I had some good glue or adhesive I'd put a daggerboard trunk right where it belongs and sink a piece of PVC at the proper place for the mast fitting. But maybe some one already figured all this out? I've sent for the HELP document to find out where your archive is, and I'll search that. But for now--who else has rigged a full battened sail on a sit on top for hiking out? *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************
