There is a tide table program that is run by a university over on the east coast that will probably do the job. I've used it a number of times for my trips here in the Pacific NW and it's been reasonably accurate when used in combination with a chart. You can find it by searching Yahoo or one of the other search engines - I think it is located at the university of South Carolina. good luck - Saul -----Original Message----- From: owner-paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net [mailto:owner-paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net]On Behalf Of Jackie Fenton Sent: Tuesday, October 19, 1999 10:31 PM To: gasp_at_lists.intelenet.net; paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Cc: capt-holmes_at_email.msn.com Subject: [Paddlewise] tide Can any of you nice folks help Capt. Here is the link for the tide tables at the University of South Carolina. http://tbone.biol.sc.edu/tide/sitesel.html For people in the S.F. Bay area, this site is also useful as it shows real time tides & currents at 5 or 6 selected stations and winds for the entire bay - http://sfports.wr.usgs.gov/sfports.html This link gives the swell heights and other weather information for a key buoy in the Monterey CA area. If anyone knows the link for the graphical version I can't seem to find that one. http://www.nws.fsu.edu/B/buoy?station=46042 jerry. jerry. RE: Cedar Key I often access the NOAA site which has tide tables for the US at http://www.opsd.nos.noaa.gov/ For Cedar Key, the offsets are -0:29 for high tide, -0:30 for low, and heights of +.99 (h), +1.02 (l) relative to St. Marks River Entrance. You can see those levels for the next 2 months at: http://www.opsd.nos.noaa.gov/tides/gulfSTMA.html Hope this helps, Joe P. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************
