Can any of you nice folks help Capt. Holmes? I let him know I
didn't write the article that appears on the GASP website but
said I would foward his query to all of you for help and figured
there'd be someone who'd have an answer :-).

Thanks and Cheers!

Jackie

Greetings Jackie

Do you have any idea where I can find a tide chart for Nov 17-20,1999 for
Cedar Key.

I noticed you did an article out of this area. Thought possibly you may have
an idea.

Thanks

There is a tide table program that is run by a university over on the east
coast that will probably do the job. I've used it a number of times for my
trips here in the Pacific NW and it's been reasonably accurate when used in
combination with a chart. You can find it by searching Yahoo or one of the
other search engines - I think it is located at the university of South
Carolina.

good luck - Saul

Here is the link for the tide tables at the University of South Carolina.
http://tbone.biol.sc.edu/tide/sitesel.html

For people in the S.F. Bay area, this site is also useful as it shows real time tides & currents at 5 or 6 selected stations and winds for the entire bay -
http://sfports.wr.usgs.gov/sfports.html

This link gives the swell heights and other weather information for a key buoy in the Monterey CA area. If anyone knows the link for the graphical version I can't seem to find that one.

RE: Cedar Key

I often access the NOAA site which has tide tables for the US at
http://www.opsd.nos.noaa.gov/

For Cedar Key, the offsets are -0:29 for high tide, -0:30 for low, and
heights of +.99 (h), +1.02 (l)
relative to St. Marks River Entrance. You can see those levels for the next
2 months at:

http://www.opsd.nos.noaa.gov/tides/gulfSTMA.html

Hope this helps,
Joe P.
