e) SPECIAL INTERESTS:

paddling trips. Enjoyed homebrewing, sailing, bicycle touring, foreign
travel, amateur archaeology, NW kayak exploration, and just having a
life---before I became self employed almost 4 years ago.

f) SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE:
Food service.

g) STRONG OPINIONS:
Yes; don't start a food business!

h) MOST INTERESTING TRIPS:
Paddling in Belize in 1989/1990; trip included visit to Tikal, and
celebrating New Year's Eve sitting on top of an ancient temple in the
jungle moonlight.

Kayak trip down the Colorado thru the Grand Canyon; 18 exhausting days on
the river. Later trip on the Green River had similar landscape, incredible
ancient dwelling sites and rock art, without the intense whitewater.

Two weeks paddling in the Exuma Islands in the Bahamas. Rarely saw other
people. Great beaches and snorkelling.

Numerous trips to Vancouver Island, both sides, from kayaks and sailboats.
Most interesting was an early spring trip thru Kyuquot Sound, and north to
the Brooks Peninsula. Very stormy, many, many bears, (even one in our
camp). One trip to the Johnstone Strait area was made memorable by some
strongly negative group dynamics, which reinforced my preference to travel
with just one other person.

Other interesting trips include a solo bike tour thru France, Luxemburg,
and Germany, many Oregon and Idaho whitewater river trips, and visits to
Costa Rica and Mexico, sans kayak.

Am planning a trip to Panama, to the Bocas del Toro island area in January.
Looking for paddle partner!

i) BIO:
Took up ww kayaking in early 80s and progressed to sea kayaking around
1984, (first touring boat was a Sea Runner!). Haven't done much ww for the
last 2 or 3 years, and miss it alot. Still love exploring Oregon and
Washington coastal bays when I have the energy and time. Favorites include
Willapa and Nestucca Bay. Oh yea, female, single, over 40.
