RE: [Paddlewise] Fight off a grizzly?!?

They breed'em tough up here!  heck, if that fella had been carrying his
River Shorty, he would have had a fire going and a couple of bear steaks
grilling by the time his hunting partners found him<g>

I personally, being a transplant up here in Alaska, have to carry a gun when
in bear territory.  I just didn't learn the basic Alaskan skills as a child:
bear whuppin', how to be comfortable in 30 F weather in just a t-shirt, etc.
