[Paddlewise] Paddling Malta/Cyprus/Kanary Islands?

Hi,

Still looking for a warm spot to paddle in Feb/March. I got a lot 
of feedback and helpful info from the southern USA (thanks), but 
I'm still trying to find something closer by. 

Can somebody comment on Malta/Cyprus or the Kanary Islands, or are 
these white spots on the Paddlewise Map?

Seems like temps in Cyprus would be just a high as in Florida, but 
I'm not sure about the waters with all the military build-up 
there.
