Disabled covers and extremely broad spectrum. I have a variety of muscular skeletal problems and I wear glasses (poor eye sight is the most common disability). Various levels of government identify me as being disabled. My temporarily able body friends have more difficulty with paddling than I do. Their difficulty with paddling has everything to do with a lack of experience and good instruction. If I was any kind of teacher they would be much better paddlers than I am. If you can find someone who can teach, why not teach your disabled friends to paddle, not to be passengers. Everyone will enjoy the experience more.
