My attachment to this note is a list I developed for a mini-course I did = on making your own paddling gear. It lists sources of both fabric and = patterns, although the references to some of the shops (Jo-Ann's) are = specific to the Houston area. Nantahala Outdoor Center lists neoprene for sale by the running foot in = their catalog. John Sweet's company, on my list, for sure sells = neoprene and glue. I tried calling around Houston and found only one = place that might sell neoprene if I begged (a custom wetsuit-making = shop). Other areas of the world where neoprene-covered skin is more = fashionable and necessary than Gulf Coast Texas probably are better = areas to try, although there's lots of SCUBA diving in this area. I don't have my catalogs here at work - seems I've seen a commercial = pattern for a wetsuit, but I think it is in the Green Pepper line, for = which I don't have contact info. here. If my brain can remember long = enough to survive the weekend, I'll look for the pattern and verify its = source - if available.
