It never ceases to amaze me how long it takes to get going in the morning. No single task takes very long, but there are maybe 30-40 little things to do, each of which takes 2-5 minutes even when you are in a hurry. It adds up quickly. It seems that the only thing that makes for a really quick exit is if nearly everything is packed up and ready to go the evening before. Some day I am going to time every single task to see exactly where the time goes. That is the first step in determining how to shave off the minutes. "Scientific time management meets sea kayaking."
