Well Sandy I disagree with you. I read the book and liked it. Like Dave Kruger I got what I expected. Unlike Dave I did not grow up in a fishing town, although I knew many Lake Superior fishermen when I was a kid. Their style of fishing was not at all like what is described in "The Hungry Ocean." The Lake Superior fishermen that I knew fished in open boats, usually fished alone and did not bother to learn to swim.
