Did you hear that the San Juan County Sheriff department caught a fellow who had poisoned, trapped and tortured +ACo-all+ACo- the raccoons on James Island? Seems as though the fellow was quite good at his little game. They found like 40 lbs.. of toxic varmint poison, a whole bunch of steel leg varmint traps and a bunch of exotic torture implements. The fellow was found guilty and charged accordingly. You know what the penalty and sentence for the crime was?? +AD4- +AD4- +AD4- +AD4- +AD4- +AD4- +AD4- +AD4- +AD4- +AD4- +AD4- They made him move to Jones Island+ACE- :+AF4-) Seriously, the 'coon population is so bad at Jones Island, in the San Juan's, that I won't even consider camping there. It's a beautiful isle and great camping but the 'coons are so brave they will come right into camp in the middle of the day and rummage through the tent, packs, whatever. At night it's ridiculous+ACE- They will open the zipper on the tent and let themselves in, rummage through everything left out and will help themselves to everything left in the boats. The last time I camped on Jones they dug there little claws through 2 foam bulkheads and tore a rubber hatch to shreds. All for a loaf of bread and some cookies from lunch. BTW all the other food was hung out of reach, which works OK. Pretty bad, eh??
