[Paddlewise] tent vs. bivy bag

Hello Paddle Wisers,

When I go on a multi-day trip I bring a tent and a bivy 
bag with me. The bivy can be my, launch forty-five 
minutes after waking option or can be used to get a 
mildly hypothermic person out of the wind quickly.
I prefer a bivy bag to a tarp because of morning dew 
getting on my down sleeping bag.
