About a year ago I made the transition from Klepper paddles to a more conventional asymmetric fibreglass set. Shortly after forgot to turn the new set right side up. They were just as inefficient as the Klepper - only needed to make that mistake once! About then I observed that it didn't matter which paddle I used or how I feathered it they all pushed the kayak at the same speed over a 1km course. What was very different was the effort it took. I still think the old Klepper paddles look good though! All the best, PeterO *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************
