Something for the Aussies on this list: >From the 23 of december I will be in Australia for 6 weeks. Visiting family, and traveling around. I would like to put in a couple of paddling days, but I won't be bringing any own stuff. As Australia is to big to see in one vacation, I will not stray to far from my landing spot Melbourne. Just Victoria, part of NSW, and may be Tasmania (an old wish, but probably to much to do in the limited amount of time) Does anybody know some acceptable sea-kayak outfitters over there? As I would like to introduce some non-paddling (not-yet- paddling?) relatives to the sport, I am looking for outfitter not only renting stuff but also doing elementary courses, or trips for unexperienced paddlers. On the internet I found two companies: one in Sydney harbour, the other in Jervis Bay (NSW south coast). And of course, if any of you is interested in talking boats and showing photographs over a beer, then just drop me a line. I would love to.
