Oops, something I forgot to mention, I had bent a 1/4 inch aluminum rod in a arch and installed them under the spraydeck. They were installed at the ends close to my body at both the bow and stern spraydeck. They were held in place with Velcro and raised the ends of the spraydeck so water was flushed off before entering the canoe. Worked well.
