I was thinking the fasteners would be uncomfortable on the inside of the PFD, but the vest wouldn't need to be tightened all that much so this may not be a concern. I'm lucky enough to be married to an excellent seamstress, and I was wondering what I was going to do with my retired climbing harnesses. I'll post how this turns out.
