Have you tried swimming any distance in surf or seas (such as trying to catch 
a drifting boat) with the SS vest?  How about rescues and rolls?  They are 
very compact, but I worry about the bulkiness.  They are designed to float 
you face up without a lot of activity and also don't provide much body armor 
or insulation.  I'm very interested in hearing your experiences.

Don't know about SS, but others are now available which are CG Approved.
