This may have existed for a while, but I just noticed it, due to a new feature which appeared on one of the buoys I hit to see what the swell/wind/etc. is like off the S coast of Vancouver Island (La Perouse: http://www.nws.fsu.edu/B/buoy?station=46206). The following URL is for a clickable map showing NWS buoy locations, which ultimately leads to an index allowing searching for buoy stations within (any specified) radius of the target buoy: http://www.nws.fsu.edu/buoy/ Put up by the NWS, out of Tallahassee, FL, but also includes Canadian buoys. Updated, for the data-deprived, every 6 minutes or so. -- Dave Kruger Astoria, OR *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************Received on Sun Dec 19 1999 - 01:58:12 PST
