We are wondering if anyone has a recommendation on a weather resistant handheld weather radio (without the VHF communication) that is good to take on kayak trips. We purchased an Oregon Scientific weather radio (model WR8000) but may have to return it. The batteries disconnect because the cover doesn't stay on well.
