All this talk of the Romany Explorer has me thinking I should budget for a new boat this year. I currently have a Prijon Expedition and a whitewater boat each of which have their uses and which I'd keep for those 'uses', but there's this wad of money burning a hole in my pocket and nothing I can spend it on really generates the excitement that the thought of a new boat does. So, if you were a person of small stature (5'8.5", 140lbs) and you wanted a serious sea kayak capable of long, self-supported trips that would last you for as long as you can imagine and would make you smile every time you thought about it, what would you buy? Kayaking is the most enjoyable activity that I've ever participated in and it would be really great to have a boat that made me want to call in sick every day of the week so I could paddle. I paddled a P&H Sirius at a local shop's demo days last spring and it made my Prijon feel like a barge and I hadn't really felt that way before I sat in the P&H. Something sleek and fast would really be nice.
