Dave Seng wrote No blubber, but I had seal the other night for dinner. A Tlingit friend of mine had invited me over for dinner - seal and herring eggs dipped in seal oil. Seal STINKS, but tastes OK, it reminded me of the flavor of liver. I'm personally VERY happy that I don't have to exist (it's not called subsistence living without reason!) on a diet of seal, walrus, and whale. Ah one has not truly lived until they have eaten fresh Herring eggs on kelp! It is the crunch that make em taste so good.
