i'm NOT trying to play "grinch" --- my wife & i enjoyed the moon very
much, but the "rumors" and "net legends" abound... so here's NASA's
stance:

bottom line:

That difference is not even likely to be noticeable to the human eye.

Sure, . . .and Santa Claus?? Oh, and what about the Easter Bunny? Remember
these are the same people that brought you that cheesy "USA Lands Man On The
Moon" movie. Well, I've got news for ya! There has been a man on the moon
since 1960. Maybe even before that. I saw him again last night when the
full moon was 20 times it's normal size and so bright we had to wear welders
goggles. It was like paddling blind in a sea of white. Hell we couldn't
even see the water 'cause the glare hurt so much. The man on the moon was
so big you could count the whiskers on his chin!

SO . . .so stuff that in you rocket engine and light it up.

Respectfully submitted and hereafter denied,
Jed
