Could it be she already landed and began removing gear when someone pleaded with her to have a seat in her kayak for a photo? Someone taking a picture while stooping over(and trying not to get wet)would be looking through the view finder cat-ty-whomp-us, and would likely loose track of the horizon, as they considtrated on focusing on Hazel. Hence the crazy angle of the picture. Just an educated guess.
