Bob, Before I decided on the Cape Horn I tried most of the popular touring kayaks from Dagger, WS and Perception. Cape Horn is a fundamentally different hull design from Harrie's Sealution design. It is not just a matter of adding a bit more bow volume. One thing I learned from trying out several kayaks was that it is very difficult to judge the feel of the kayak in the water until you have tried it. Looking at a kayak above the waterline is a bit like kicking tires on a car.
