G'Day, I've been routinely using a Klepper Aerius without a rudder and much prefer to do this. However just occasionally on a long trip the rudder takes some of the effort out of keeping the boat straight in a quartering sea. As far as turning goes the rudder is more of a hindrance than a help as the Klepper seems to turn on a dime when it has to. Does anyone know where I can get a retractable Skeg for the Klepper preferably something about the same size as a Feathercraft rudder? All the best, PeterO PS to Who's Who fans - its nearly there - I was out of action over *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************Received on Wed Jan 12 2000 - 02:18:10 PST
