Nick Schade at Guillemot Kayaks http://www.guillemot-kayaks.com/ has an excellent site including a Kayak Builders' Bulletin Board where you can get help on any topic relating to kayak building, and the site has information on his book on kayak building. I got his book last year and by just following the steps in the book, successfully built a cedar strip kayak, even though I had never made one before. The book is easy to read, entertaining, and very easy to follow. It is definitely worth the purchase price. http://www.olympus.net/personal/sbaxter/ is a good site for how to build a stitch and glue kayak, using a design from Chesapeake Light Craft. Both of these methods are wood and fibreglass combinations, not just fibreglass.
