I can't stand gloves and always wear pogies, but I carry a thick pair of neoprene diving gloves with me just in case I have a severe problem and have to spend more than a few minutes in the water. toki wrote: ------------------- Just thought I would share an experience that happened to me 3 -4 years ago. I was surfing at the local spot dressed in a dry suit with a farmer john underneath. I had helmet, neoprene hood and booties. After I was ripped out of my boat I thought what a good opportunity to pratice swimming into to shore.... after 10 minutes of trying different versions of swimming I thought enough and attempted to do a wet entry and roll... the problem was my hands. I could not grasp the paddle or boat to complete the wet entry and roll. Now I was forced to swim to shore.... I had no other option. -------- Tim Gamble -- +------------------------------------------------+ | Tim Gamble (212) 385-0200 v | | Syllog Inc.
