[Paddlewise] BC Coast Kayak Mothership ~ Newcomer introduction

Hello PaddleWise members ~ a message from Capt Ralph of Explore!
Charters from Sooke on the BC Coast (N48 23' W123 43') where we operate
the major Kayak Motorsailer Mothership ~ the 80' Mighty ROLANO. I've
been observing the PaddleWise messages for a couple weeks and find it to
be a fascinating, very lively site. It's great! Has there been any
discussion of motherships in the past?
At the risk of violating the commercialism rule I will explain our
operation. We offer 30+ expeditions into all parts of the British
Columbia Coast with custom and scheduled cruises, and move our base of
operations during the season. We offer 3, 4, and mostly 7 day ADVENTURES
with COMFORT and SAFETY. We accommodate eight guests overnight (50 on
day cruises) and transport eight kayaks, doubles and singles. No
experience is necessary and everything is provided. Travel light, hot
showers, and eat well. Our vessel is tastefully rugged, not a yacht.
Wilderness First Aid attendant, guides with 25 years experience (100%
safety record) and a certified Master with 30 years sea time after a
distinguished career in major broadcasting (near legendary :-)).
Extremists may scoff at the idea of using a mothership but they are the
ones who could benefit the most from the safety back~up provided when
things go terribly wrong, as we witnessed last spring on this coast. It
costs more than camping on the beach but you can travel light and spend
more time paddling or exploring rather than making and breaking camp.
