    I am very please to be able to formally announce a new service, a new 
concept to the paddlesports world, the creation of an adoption service for 
orphaned British boats. Sheltered Waters  is a nonprofit group set up to 
answer the need for a clearing house for "too heavy" and underused British 
kayaks. Finally the atrocities can be compassionately ended, no more strained 
backs, pulled muscles or kayak littered garages.
    All those aging and dusty British boats, too heavy to be transported to 
the water by their hernia suffering owners can finally be with others of 
their kind.  Men and women alike can save their marriages by sending us the 
foolish craft that your spouse obsesses over but is unable to lift. Health 
Insurance discounts may be available with the elimination of this heavy 
lifting health risk. 
    Boats will be cared for in carefully chosen foster homes.  The 
prospective foster owners will have to prove their strength prior to 
qualification.  Only the most skilled and hard-core "young bucks" will be 
considered.
    Prior to placement the boats will be used to teach little children 
various kayak skills like loading and unloading from the car.  This should 
afford us "Tax Exempt"status and mean that you could write-off the value of 
your donated boat.
    Any and all British boats are eligible with Nordkapps, Explorers, 
Romany's being the easiest to place in foster garages.
