Doug,

No apology necessary !!! This newbie takes your posts as I believe you mean
them. i.e. This is the situation I got myself into, here's what I'll do
next time, here are my feelings and thoughts on the situation, and here's my
next adventure :-) .......

I find your posts to be fascinating, thoughtful and appropriately sobering
for us novices out in PaddleWise-land. Keep them coming....

I'll stick to my protected waters, maybe forever, or perhaps I'll venture out
a little more as my skills increase, but in either case, I have learned so
much from this list about safety and the dangers lurking out there that I
never would have known otherwise and might have unknowingly put myself in
danger that I am a much better and wiser and more careful paddler than I ever
would have been without PW.

My goal in paddling is peace and quiet, enjoyment of nature and exercise, but
I do enjoy reading about the more adventuresome among us.

There is a place for us all in the paddling world, no matter where we are on
the spectrum, from quiet enjoyment of nature to Tsunami kayakers, and
everyone in between, and we can all learn from each other and enjoy each
other's paddling experiences.

That's what makes this list so great !!!!

Susan
