The Krill light may be an excellent alternative to the light I carry now, which is clipped to my PFD. It's the regulation white, but it didn't work when I needed it. Why? I don't know. I think I had left the light on my jacked too long. Must have been a bit of corrosion on the contacts. I believe the light needs a little care and maintenance after a paddle in salt water; maybe daily maintenance! Like the little air horn that was clipped to my PFD. It wouldn't blow when wet. I happened to test it when wet. Nothing but a sputtering spitting hiss of air came out. I tested later when dry. The horn worked fine. Moral I guess is: Test equipment... clean equipment after use... and be sure you have a good whistle.
