Hi folks,

I am following the traffic on this group for some weeks now and
found a lot of interesting information and discussions.
As a new kayaker, just started last summer with renting boats, I
spent the last weekends building my own boat (stitch and glue).
Some impressions of the still ongoing work are on my webpage.
http://is.dal.ca/~uhoeger/vke.html
It's not one of the kits offered by Pygmy or Chesapeake, it is a
local Nova Scotian design, called Volkskayak. It was a good way
for me to solve problems of transportation and storage
(Volkskomponentkayak, see details on the web), and I did it in the
company's workshop in a workshop, so no messing around with
dust and sticky epoxy in my home and advise and a helping hand
whenever it was needed.
Now I am waiting for spring, or at least a nice, calm winter day.

Cheers

Ulli
