Hi Jim, From everything I've heard the Atlantis is a fine boat. I'm sure it will give you many years of great adventures. Don't be fooled by all the talk about fast glass boats either, most of us started in and still occasionally paddle our plastic boats. Enjoy! ....for what it's worth (probably not too much), I've made two Lemon baidarkas, paddle them both.....half a dozen stitch and glues among them CLC Patuxent, (which I have paddled alternately to glory and humiliation in local 10 and 20k races), recently bought a Valley Avocet (tupperware with burping lids), and love it also. My favorite boat? You guessed it......the one I'm paddling at the moment. Although a Keowee might be a stretch, I find that I'm happiest with water in my ears. Just paddle it.
