Hi Bob

The only problem with living up here is that the lakes are frozen this time
of year. But that not too much of a problem, there are no bugs, the
campsite are not too busy and we just run across the lakes with the dog
sleds.
BTW we consider Toronto the far south

I just returned from a weekend in Toronto. I have gained a new level of
respect for those who live above the 49th parallel! I can only compare my
experience of walking out of a pub in downtown Toronto at 2am with the scene
from 2001 when HAL ejects one of the crew into the cold void of space. It
was beyond weather! It was another planet, radically different from the one
my home in Delray Beach, Florida exists on. I was told it was -38 (at that
temperature C and F are about the same: brutal) and the only comments passed
by the locals were: "A bit cool eh?"

I will never complain about hurricanes or mosquitoes again!
