Sandy;

Check out the Chrysler PT (Patrol Torpedo?) Cruiser.
http://www.chryslercars.com/pt_cruiser/frameset_pt_flash.html
Purportedly has seatal configurability that might allow
onboard sleepage (if you are little). Built on a Neon
chassis and drive train, so it might not be victim to
newmodelitis. Base price 16K, (same as the Toyota
gas/electric hybrid). Would look great with boats atop.

There's a lot of excess spewing tonnage on the road in the
name of comfort. Obviously, some folk really need a big
rig. But, though I would love to send my sweetie back to
fire up the espresso maker and whip up a curry on a long
haul, I have resisted the temptation to drive a motor coach.

If I can convince one person to buy a greener vehicle, I
will have irritated many many more.

Ed, whose pontificational skills may catch the eye of the
Holy See. Or maybe poke it.
