I have an Eddyline Falcon 16 in a very light lay-up they no longer
manufacture. It's a mix of kevlar and glass and weighs 34lbs. I can lift the
boat over my head to dump the remaining water out of it.

when I enquired why they don't make that lay-up, they stated that these
boats were layed up for moderate paddling conditions but paddlers were
taking the boat and trying to surf 8 foot waves and then complained when the
boat broke.

Between my 1995 and 1998 Kevlar/ graphite Nordkapps, Valley added almost 8
lbs to the lay-up going from 39 to 47 lbs (without FG Seat).
