There are better places to look for out of print books, at least if 
you're just interested in reading it.  I don't collect first editions
etc., so I have no idea about that sort of thing.

I've been buying used books through ABE http://www.abe.com/ 
(I think it was Advanced Book Exchange or something) for a few years,
and in fact I bought my copy of Bascom through them a couple years ago.

They also show 3 current copies, at $25, $75, and $13.95.

BTW, like virtually everyone else familiar with _Waves and Beaches_,
I highly recommend it.  Really interesting, especially for sea kayakers
who spend a lot of time on the coast.
