Matt Broze responded to Fernando about Kevlar composite lay-ups. One other thing I would mention about these high-end fabrics like Kevlar is that they are very shinny and slick. I rather think there would be a tendency on multiple-thickness lay-ups (with or even without a mixture of other fabrics) to have a difficulty bonding well. I know good shops will utilize a "veil" layer between high-performance fabrics to enhance bonding. I've heard of manufactures doing layups on the "cheap" by excluding "veil" "sandwiching". I'm not sure how technically correct all this is, but my sources are generally knowledgable.
