Agree.  Buzz bombs were the weapon of choice when I was there, with some inlets
much better than others.  Local consensus was the long liners were the guilty
party.   Re:  foraging on land:  might be deer season <g>.  Too late for
berries, I think.

Agree.  Benjamin Point to Rose Harbour is an exposed stretch (to southeasters)
with no bailout spots.  Possible overfalls on B. Point, and ditto at the E. end
of Houston Stewart Channel (flood or ebb), and some littler tide rips at the W.
end of HSC, nasty in a strong westerly breeze.  I never saw anything gnarly in
Carpenter Bay, but we never had any significant swell or wind there.

I back channeled the same suggestion, although not sure they are running that
late.  The residents at Rose Harbour must have some sort of food resupply
mechanism Gordon could tap into, however.  I think the Watchmen are still on
Ninstints in September, so that might be an option, also.  Definitely recommend
avoiding carrying three weeks of food.  Hauling it up out of bear reach would
be problematic.
