I plan to meet up out in Oregon with Dave Kruger in April for a day paddle, and I'm also helping plan the 2nd Annual West Coast Wood Kayak Builder's Rendezvous. It's planned for the 19th and 20th of August in Port Townsend, WA. There will be stripping, fiberglassing, and paddle building demos, as well as demos and mini-classes on navigation, safety, rescue, and boat handling. I am supposed to do a rolling demo and help teach some of the non-building classes. There is also the West Coast Sea Kayaking Symposium (TAPS?), but I'm not sure what date it's slated for. I'm also planning to circumnavigate San Juan Island either the week before or the week after the Rendezvous.
