>Anyone out there had experience with Eddyline's Swift kayak paddles? What >do you think of them? They have now come out with a narrower blade, the >UltraSwift (4" width). These paddles are not discussed under Topics on the >PaddleWise web page. > Did not know Eddyline came out with the UltraSwift. Now I curious. I do own the Sea, Mid and Wind Swift paddles. The Wind Swift paddle has been my paddle for cruising for several years. Used the Mid Swift for a spare. When I paddle hard with the Sea Swift it flutters but I've been told it did not happen to other people. Great paddle if your playing in surf, lotta surface area on the blade. I used the Wind Swift for the Gulf Expedition exclusively and had the Mid Swift as my back up. And no, Eddyline did not sponsor me with the paddles. I paid full price for both of the paddles long before the expedition (Wind Swift in 1992 six years before the expedition). I was sold on the durability, lightness and just the way they felt when I was stroking. Just as the kayak I used no one can give me a paddle that I was not pleased with, my health (and life) depended on the right gear. I do not have any ties with Eddyline I just believe in their products. I will also admit I enjoy paddling with the traditional paddles I built. Guess like most paddlers always looking for the perfect kayak and paddle. I am still buying and trying. Please don't tell my wife I'm still buying and trying, this message will self destruct in ten seconds ( she may try to read this PW stuff again). Whoa, here she comes, gotta go!!!
