Re:[Paddlewise] In defense of sandals

I use neoprene booties with the heavier soles and find them quite
comfortable as long as I remember to take them off shortly after going
ashore to be replaced with something safer. I found out the hard way
that the heavier soles
have very little grip on rocky surfaces regardless of the corrugations.
They're fine on sand, gravel etc.
